So, I graduated from high school today & now I’m going to talk about it.
High school over all was honestly so much fun, I can’t complain; but I’m also so glad it’s over and I am looking forward to everything to come. High school itself was such a journey, it really is such a learning experience in more ways than just the obvious educational aspects. Looking back I view high school as a time that really defined and shaped the person I’ve become. I learned a lot about myself, both through the challenges I faced and the people I met. Senior year especially was such a turning point in my life, and I’m especially grateful to the friendships I made that helped me through it. This year I met a lot of people who I made unexpected friendships with, and also reconnected with friends from my childhood. It was the first time in my four years of high school I had a steady group of friends, yes we did have our disputes and we were definitely dysfunctional at times, but we created the best memories and they are friendships I know I’ll look back on with the fondest regards.
The people I’m talking about are mainly the ones pictured above (+ Tyler and Jaimie who I didn’t get pictures with :(, Jello & Rachel + Junior Mints & a few others who aren’t on tumblr so I won’t mention them by name.) I feel so lucky to have found these group of people. thank you for being the absolute greatest group of friends I could ever imagine spending my senior year with. You guys are all amazing individuals and there’s never a dull moment with us. I could sit here and describe our countless adventures and escapades together but there’s far too much to write about. I have no doubt that a lot of us will remain good friends through out life. I really didn’t believe I’d stay in touch with friends from high school until this year when I met these people. Here’s to game night 2.0!
And lastly, by far the most memorable part of my senior year would be meeting and falling in love with my boyfriend, Jacob (@smugduggah). I don’t think I could’ve gone through senior year without him. He’s been that best friend I can tell anything to and be absolutely ridiculously weird and completely myself around. He completely changed my entire life, it sounds cliche, but he really did. If I hadn’t met him I would’ve spent 90% of senior year in my room and fighting with my parents. He helped me become a better person, and as a result, everything fell into place. Though my family can be rocky at times, as I’m sure everyone’s is, he really helped me gain my parents trust back and I was able to do so many things I couldn’t do before. He has such a great and honest perspective on life and I could come to him with every conflict or problem or worry and he’d give me the greatest advice, or I could just come to him and complain for literally forever about all the stupid little things that bothered me at school that day and he’d just sit there and listen to me complain for literally forever. Jacob, I can’t thank you enough for everything you’ve done for me. I know I say it a lot, but I still feel like you’ll never get the thanks you deserve. I love you and I can’t wait to start our future together :).

She’s the angel voice that bids you goodnight
Kisses your cheek, whispers, ‘Sleep tight.’” -Wendy, in Peter PanHappy mother’s day!
